I use my home system for music production, so I'm interested in ALSA, JACK, Ardour, Jamin, LADSPA apps, etc. GNU/Linux audio and sound is not getting the attention it should, is still difficult for newbies to get working, and otherwise not up to speed vis-a-vis most major functions of the OS. But it's getting there.
