Site seems slow

The site looks great and is easy to navigate. The blue really makes it calming, which is nice. But it seems to take a while to open links when I click on them. I don't know if it's because you have just launched and are being hit hard, or if there is some other problem, but thought I would let you know.

Thanks for another friendly place to find news on Free Software.

I'm glad to hear that! The launch went off fairly well otherwise. It mainly picked up in the 2nd and 3rd days. I confess, I'm thrilled with the traffic levels too - much better than I anticipated. Now, let's see if we can get some chatter going around here! ;-)

I have made some adjustments, which seem to improve the site's performance. I'll see how far I can go with that kind of adjustment.

Thanks for dropping by. I have had a few issues with the load speed at times, even though cache-ing seems to help. Anyway, I'll see if I can make some adjustments.
