I'm Don Parris, former Editor-in-Chief of LXer.com. Despite lacking a journalism background, I was invited by Tom Adelstein to join the LXer editorial team in October 2005. In April 2006, he resigned, and I stepped into fill his shoes. I then led LXer through solid, sustained audience growth over the course of the past year. I quickly earned the respect of our readers, both as an editor, and as a forum moderator. I recently parted ways with LXer and established Blue Gnu Media and Technology as a Free Software news business.
We are truly a Free Software business. Blue GNU uses Debian GNU/Linux in the office, and to host our Drupal 5.1-driven website. Powweb is our hosting service. We use no non-Free software. Not only are our business and services built around Free Software, we provide information about Free Software. I will strive to avoid advertising non-libre software. You won't see Google ads and such.
I encourage you to join the Blue Gnu community and to support a truly Free Software enterprise.
Thanks,
Don Parris
