M. Fioretti -- Digifreedom.net

Hello all!

Thanks to D. Parris for founding Blue-Gnu and letting me know about it. I write freelance about FOSS:(both technical articles and relationships about FOSS, education and civil rights). These times, my main activities are the Family Guide to Digital Freedom and its associated website, http://digifreedom.net : I intend to promote Free Standards and Software as essential tools for a more free society among that largest category of "social activists" which can have a huge positive impact in this field but many seem to ignore: parents. I am always interested to share experiences in this field, or to hear as many comments and suggestions as possible from many people, be they FOSS veterans or not.

This, and the wish to stay up to date with non-strictly-or-not-only-technical news from the FOSS world, are the main reasons I came here. I like a website where the "most popular FOSS stories" box includes, while I'm writing this, things like "CrossWire Bible Society Offers Free/Libre Bible Software" or "FSF/Environmental Coalition Gathers Around 1500". Free standards and software are too much of a good thing to deal with them just as a technical issue!

Ciao,
Marco
