The GNU/Linux Matters project announced through their blog today that they will be meeting over 4 days in Madrid on August 17th-21st. Project members plan to address such issues as the switch to DocBook, security for the websites, fund-raising and partnerships, as well as establishing a roadmap for future activities. While the meeting does not exactly constitute a 'summit', the team welcomes anyone who happens to be in the area during those four days.

GNU/Linux Matters is the non-profit organization behind the Get GNU/Linux website and 3dollarsoftware.org. Get GNU/Linux is a well-designed GNU/Linux and Free Software advocacy site, while the latter focuses on the difference between cheap and free. Olivier Cleynen and Gustavo Narea founded GNU/Linux Matters together and are now spearheading the current meeting to tackle the future of the project.
