Story Submission Guidelines

Some sites permit any registered user to submit stories. Blue Gnu categorizes users this way:

• Anonymous visitors who simply read the site
• Registered users who enjoy participating in the site on a limited basis
• Premium users who support the site financially, but do not write for us
• Contributors who regularly submit blog posts and articles
• Individuals & Organizations who submit press releases

Here is how the process works.

You must register and then inform us via e-mail that you wish to become a contributor if you want to do any of the following:
<> Blog
<> Submit news and other stories
<> Submit press releases
We will grant you the appropriate permissions, and you will be able to create stories, etc. by clicking the Create Content link. Please do not submit press releases about your non-free software. We delete these. Your stories and blogs should actually be promoted to the front page once submitted. If not, don't worry. We will do so as soon as possible and/or appropriate.

Caveats

When submitting articles for publication, please bear in mind the following:

• Please use the term, GNU/Linux, unless you are referring to the Linux kernel.
• This is a Free Softwaresite - not an open source site.
